Marketing in today’s business environment is challenging due to the abundance of consumer choices and the rapid evolution of digital technology. Our 40-credit M.B.A. in Marketing program prepares you to become a marketing leader while providing a comprehensive general business education.

With a focus on ethics-centered education, you'll begin with a core curriculum that includes accounting, economics, behavioral and quantitative sciences, and the functional areas of business. In your marketing courses, you'll learn to collect and interpret data, manage customer relationships, and develop and maintain a strong brand through courses focused on core marketing functions and strategy creation. Courses incorporate widely used marketing software and applications, such as Qualtrics for market research and SPSS for statistical analysis. Effective techniques for social and digital advertising are also emphasized.

We welcome both full- and part-time students, and offer small and flexible classes asynchronous online to accommodate your schedule.

Admissions Requirements

Admission into the Stillman School of Business is selective. For consideration, applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. The School welcomes applicants from business and non-business undergraduate majors. Although all requests will be considered based on individual merit and each candidate will be evaluated holistically, an undergraduate overall GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) is generally required.

Applications are processed on a rolling basis. To be considered for competitive merit scholarships or Graduate Assistantship positions, applicants are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline for each semester.

Curriculum Overview

With a focus on an ethics-centered education, our M.B.A. starts with a core curriculum that covers accounting, economics, the behavioral and quantitative sciences, and the functional areas of business. The M.B.A. curriculum requires 40 credits of study, which includes core courses (25 credits) and electives (15 credits).

There are many paths to follow. With a marketing focus, you'll choose from diverse courses, including:

You'll have the opportunity to consult with an actual client in our M.B.A. consulting course.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the pre-qualification course requirements?

To help students update and refresh their basic business skills, students without a business background will be required to complete a sequence of self-paced, prequalification courses that do not bear credit and can be completed quickly online. All pre-qualification courses are offered year round during every semester.

Are there set times to attend my classes?

No. You will have specific assignment deadlines and test dates, but you can complete your online coursework at times that are convenient for you.

Is there a campus residency requirement?

The degree is almost entirely online, except for a two-day on-campus orientation residency that is required for new students. The orientation program’s cost is included as part of the overall program tuition, except for travel costs, which are the responsibility of the student.
