Seton Hall University’s M.S. in Professional Accounting and Analytics (M.S.P.A.A.) program provides accountants with cutting-edge knowledge and skills in data analytics, business intelligence, database management and enterprise systems. While geared towards recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, more experienced accounting professionals will also benefit from the high-technology orientation of this STEM-intensive program. This 30-credit graduate-level program will complement a bachelor’s degree in accounting to meet the 150-hour educational requirement for the CPA credential.
All classes are available in a flexible format. Whether you come to evening classes, join remotely or watch videos, our experienced and well credentialed faculty will provide you with a challenging and engaging learning experience.

Admissions Requirements
Admission into the Stillman School of Business is selective. For consideration, applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. The School welcomes applicants from business and non-business undergraduate majors.
Although all requests will be considered based on individual merit and each candidate will be evaluated holistically, an undergraduate overall GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) is generally required.

Applications are processed on a rolling basis. To be considered for competitive merit scholarships or Graduate Assistantship positions, applicants are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline for each semester.
Curriculum Overview
The 30-credit M.S. in Professional Accounting and Analytics program requires 15 credit hours of required courses, 9 credit hours of additional analytics courses, and 6 credit hours of graduate elective courses.
The STEM-designated M.S.P.A.A. program will provide you with a diverse list of accounting and analytics courses including:
- Big Data and Business Impact
- Enterprise-Wide Accounting Information Systems
- Introduction to Data Analytics/Business Intelligence
You will also take courses that cover the uniform commercial code, in-depth analytics and accounting or tax research. Students will also take electives of their choice including an option to for graduate internships. While most students complete the program within a year, many students choose to study part-time.
