Seton Hall University is offering a dynamic three-credit summer course, Introduction to Health Sciences and Health Careers, designed specifically to help students explore the fast-growing world of healthcare before they even graduate high school.

Held at Seton Hall’s state-of-the-art Interprofessional Health Sciences Campus in Nutley, NJ, this immersive course runs from July 7 to July 17, 2025, and offers more than just college credit. Students will get the chance to learn directly from professors and professionals across various fields including nursing, medicine, physical therapy, and health administration.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity for students to engage early with the healthcare world and start building a strong foundation,” said Vikram Dayalu, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, interim dean of the School of Health and Medical Sciences. “Healthcare is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country. Getting exposure now sets students up for long-term success.”

The course blends interactive discussion, interviews, simulations, observations and hands-on assignments to help students discover where their passion lies. From understanding essential medical skills to interacting with healthcare practitioners and touring labs, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience.

“This program helps students explore career paths, build skills and strengthen their college applications — all while earning real college credit,” added Kristi Stinson, Ph.D., R.N., A.P.N.-B.C., interim dean of the College of Nursing. “We’re proud to support future healthcare and nursing leaders as early as high school.”

Whether you are planning to be a nurse, doctor, therapist, or healthcare administrator, this course will give you a serious edge on applications, résumés and your career journey.
