Rev. Lucio Nontol, T.O.R., Ph.D., Adjunct Professor of Moral Theology, obtained a doctorate from Comillas Pontifical University, Madrid-Spain; a Master's degree in Bioethics from Comillas Pontifical University, Madrid-Spain; a Master's degree in Philosophy Theory and Practice from U.N.E.D., Madrid-Spain; and a Master's degree in Social Doctrine of the Church from the Pontifical University of Salamanca-Spain. He completed his baccalaureate studies at the Faculty of Pontifical and Civil Theology of Lima-Peru. He is currently completing his Psychology studies at Seton Hall University. 

His doctoral thesis is titled "Christianity in the Work of Alasdair MacIntyre." He has taught Philosophy and Moral Theology since 2005 in Peru and in Spain and currently at Seton Hall University. 

Father Nontol's areas of expertise are moral theology; bioethics; the philosophy of Alasdair MacIntyre; the philosophy of Jacques Derrida; the philosophy and theology of Ramon Llull; and the moral theology of Joseph Ratzinger. Additionally, Father Nontol is interested in Thomas Merton's Spirituality and is preparing a publication on Counseling and Spirituality. 

In addition to numerous articles, his publications include three books: Christianity in the Work of Alasdair MacIntyre (Editorial Franciscanos T.O.R., 2014); Forgiveness, Decision and Responsibility: A Philosophical Reflection from Jacques Derrida (Editorial Síntesis, 2015); and Morality as a Path in Theology of Joseph Ratzinger (Editorial Perpetuo Socorro, 2018).
