After graduating from Fordham College at Lincoln Center with a B.A. in English, Alyssa spent a year serving with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps at St. Ignatius high school in Cleveland Ohio.

She worked at ICSST as a graduate assistant while working towards her M.A. in Systematics, and after graduating returned to support the writing and implementation of a one million dollar grant from the Lilly Foundation

Alyssa also works as the Director of Religious Education & Youth Ministry in a parish in the Diocese of Paterson.
