Adobe Digital Badges

In partnership with Adobe, the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center offers the Seton Hall community the ability to earn digital badges that showcase verified credentials earned outside of the classroom.  Adobe has curated self-paced, bite-sized courses designed to teach the most in-demand skills and competencies needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

Regardless of discipline or industry, earning these badges will make your talent more visible and help you to advance your personal, professional, and educational goals.  Get started by logging into your existing Adobe account using your Seton Hall email.

You will need to request access to Adobe Creative Cloud in order to complete the courses.  If you don’t already have access to the Adobe Creative Cloud, follow the step-by-step self-enrollment guide.

  • What is a digital badge?

Digital badges are a visual indicator of an acquired skill, competency, or accomplishment that can be shared on your résumé, email signature, and LinkedIn profile. They are often digitally coded with information such as the achievement description, earner’s name, awarding body, and issue and expiration dates. This metadata serves as verified evidence of the requirements an individual has satisfied to earn a particular credential.

  • How do I earn a digital badge?

Once logged into Adobe Learn, enroll in one of the available courses. Each course consists of approximately 2 hours of lessons and accompanying activities, which are broken into modules lasting from 5 to 15 minutes each. Your progress will be auto-saved so you can complete the course on your own schedule. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive your certificate and badge to share with your network.

  • What can I do with my digital badge?

As you are building your personal and professional brand, badges become a visual representation of your transferrable and marketable skills. From a social networking platform like LinkedIn to your résumé and email signature, these badges can be shared anywhere online.

  • How does this differ from Adobe Exchange Courses?

Unlike other platforms where you’re only able to watch content, these courses are interactive. As you complete the course, you will gain industry insights from Adobe experts and complete course activities along the way. Access to the course and course material is free for all Seton Hall University students.

TLTC Workshops

The TLTC will be running a series of workshops and training sessions throughout the semester. View a full list of the Adobe specific workshops.
