Seton Hall Announces 2025–26 Faculty Innovation Grants
Thursday, October 2, 2025
Seton Hall University’s Teaching, Learning and Technology Center (TLTC), in partnership with the Faculty Senate IT Committee and the Center for Faculty Development, is pleased to announce the 2025–26 Faculty Innovation Grants (FIGs). These grants provide faculty with funding, resources and recognition to design
and implement innovative projects that transform teaching and learning across the
University.
FIGs support the integration of emerging technologies and innovative pedagogical practices that enhance student learning, foster career-relevant skills and strengthen Seton Hall’s culture of innovation. Projects are expected to extend beyond the needs of a single course or instructor, demonstrating the potential for broad application across programs, departments or the wider University community.
Aligned with the new Innovation Hub and the University’s 2025 - 30 Strategic Plan: Inspiring Great Minds to Greater Purpose, this year’s program emphasizes six focus areas:
-
AI in teaching and learning: responsible use of artificial intelligence for student engagement, assessment and digital literacy.
-
Experiential and maker learning: hands-on learning with tools such as 3D printing, robotics, podcasting, augmented/virtual reality or fabrication.
-
Alternative and authentic assessment: new approaches that emphasize creativity, critical thinking and real-world application.
-
Digital storytelling and media creation: student-driven projects producing videos, podcasts, graphics or interactive media using platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud.
-
Inclusive and equitable innovation: technology-driven approaches to accessibility, universal design for learning and equitable student engagement.
-
Data-informed teaching and learning: leveraging analytics, dashboards and visualization tools to improve teaching practice and enhance student success.
