Information for the Media

The Office of Media Relations is the first point of contact for University media inquiries and can assist interested journalists with reaching out for information, interviews, visiting campus or finding a subject expert. Here are instructions on working with our office.

Find an Expert

The Office of Media Relations can help journalists identify experts within the University community and help to arrange media interviews with faculty, administrators, employees and students. Our educators and researchers can – and do – provide expertise on many relevant issues. Seton Hall University faculty are regularly featured in national and international media outlets for their expertise and ground-breaking research in a wide array of subjects, including business; diplomacy and international relations; theology; education; science; human development, culture, and media; the arts and humanities; communication; nursing and healthcare; government, politics and law.

Guidelines for Journalists

Inquiries and Deadlines:
In this 24/7 media landscape, we understand that reporters typically work on specific – and sometimes very short – deadlines. With that in mind, please always provide your contact information and media outlet, the angle of your story and any specific questions, and your deadline.

The team will always strive to acknowledge an inquiry as soon as possible and, once a deadline has been provided, do its best to respond in a reasonable amount of time to be able to meet your deadline or, alternatively, inform you that it is unable to meet your deadline. As a professional courtesy, the Media Relations team would expect a journalist to check in a final time before indicating that the University was not responsive when it publishes a story.
