Third-Party Provider Checklist

Explore Your Options
Your study abroad journey begins here!
• Check Seton Hall Offerings: Third-party options are available only for destinations not offered by Seton Hall
• Attend an Info or Advising Session: Learn how to make your international dreams a reality
• Meet with your Academic Advisor: Discuss how study abroad works with your degree
• Study Abroad Scholarships: Visit the Scholarships Abroad hub and apply early for financial support
• Accessibility Abroad: Consult DSS about accommodations abroad at least 6 months before your program starts
• Understand the Finances: Learn more about payments to Seton Hall and third-party providers

Apply to Your Program
Programs are available on a first-come, first-served basis with limited spots. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required, and students must not be on disciplinary probation level II or higher at departure. Along with the application submitted thru your third-party provider, you must also submit the following.

Application Requirements in the Study Abroad Portal: (1) Third-Party Provider Information (2) Assumption of Risk, Waiver of Liability, Release of Claims and Indemnification, (3) Authorization for Access to Student Information, (4) Notice and Consent Regarding Personal Data (for programs in the EU), (5) Disability Support Services Abroad, (6) Your Passport Status and (7) Credit Transfer Form (see details below)

Credit Transfer Form: To ensure your abroad credits count towards your Seton Hall curriculum, complete the Credit Transfer Form with your academic advisor and department. You can upload the form thru the Study Abroad Portal. Check out the Credit Transfer, Billing, and Payment hub for detailed instructions.

Get Ready for Departure
Congratulations on being approved! Here's what to do between approval and departure to be marked "Ready for Departure":
• Pre-Departure Requirements thru the Study Abroad Portal: (1) Study Abroad Pre-Departure Orientation, (2) Study Abroad Health Information, (3) Emergency Contact Information, (4) STEP Registration, (5) Abroad Phone Number and Secondary Email, (6) Passport Information, (7) International Medical Insurance, (8) Flight Itinerary , (9) Host Location and Dates
• Prepare for Your Time Abroad: Visit the Preparing and Packing hub for resources and tips
• Study Abroad Visa (if applicable): Most semester destinations require a visa; you can learn more thru this U.S. Department of State resource hub

Important: Stay updated on emails from the third-party provider before your departure, as they often include essential details about housing and more
